Corridor

from Rivers by Matty Twigg

/

lyrics

In the corridor I thought of you
Through the open door the feeling of you blew
It took me back to a time
When I was yours and you were mine

I was somewhere where we used to go
I remembered how things broke apart, we couldn't know
I wouldn't want, to return
But how I long for how we burned

I awoke form a dream of you
In the dream you were as distant as we later grew
I would not want, to re-arrange
How things unfolded and we both changed

In a crowd I thought I saw your face
But more afraid was I than any longing for embrace
I filled the blanks, with something more
I will not walk that corridoor again

Again
